The situation
As Managing Director of Ascend Global, I took the agency through an acquisition by MOOT Group, completed in February 2022. That meant getting the P&L and the operation into a shape a buyer would pay for, then running the buyer conversations and the negotiation itself.
What I did
Tidied the operational story, framed the numbers honestly, and led the back-and-forth to a completed deal. Selling an agency is a different discipline from running one: the things that make day-to-day delivery work are not always the things a buyer values.
The result
A completed acquisition. This is the experience behind Agency Exit Readiness: advising agency owners who are preparing to sell, from positioning the P&L to the final negotiation.
